Modify an H4 Bulb to fit the stock Honda fitting
Okay, This is the base of your
basic run of the mill Honda light Bulb. |
And, This is the base of the basic H4 light Bulb. Notice the two smaller tabs are in different positions than the Honda Bulb. |
First, Twist off these |
#2 Get a 2 inch nail, (With no head on it) or a 2 inch peice of clothes hanger wire. |
Bend up the two tabs, Then lay the nail or wire evenly across the base. |
#4 With the wire in place, bend up the smaller tabs over the wire to hold it in place. |
#5 Here's another angle to Look at... |
#6 These are shots out of the Clymer manual. I'm trying to show the notches where the wire will sit, when finished. |
#7 The installed wire will set in these notches and rest the bulb exactly where the stock bulb would sit. |
#8 This is a shot of my bike with the new bulb installed, Notice the wire is sitting perfectly in the grooves where the old bulb would sit. This was taken with the rubber boot removed. |
